Naked Palette 2 by Urban Decay!

A few weeks ago, I finally managed to get my hands on this Naked 2 palette by Urban Decay. I had been lusting over the Naked palettes since forever, but for some reason I never took the plunge to spend the INR 6500 + Delivery charges! It seemed very steep for an eye shadow palette. It required a lot of convincing to order it and actually call the luxury palette my own. But since the day it arrived, I have used it literally every morning and cannot stop gushing over the incredible quality and versatility of the Naked palette 2. Of course, the internet is already filled with amazing reviews of the Naked palettes, but I figured you might be interested in my perspective regardless. Yes yes, I know I’m a bit late on it! The first one was such a huge hit, that I knew this one would be the same…

My favorite colors are “Busted”, “Pistol” and “YDK”. There’s a great variety in textures too – 4 matte/satin finish and 8 metallic finish.

Shades include:

Foxy: Cream bisque with matte finish

Half Baked: Golden-bronze with shimmering finish

Booty Call: Shimmering cork

Chopper: Copper shimmer with silver micro glitter

Tease: Creamy pale brown with matte finish

Snake Bite: Dark bronze shimmer with metallic base

Suspect: Pale golden beige with shimmering finish

Pistol: Light grey-brown with shimmering finish

Verve: Oyster with shimmering finish

YDK: Cool bronze shimmer with metallic base

Busted: Deep brown with shimmering finish

Blackout: Blackest black with matte finish

What I love:

  • The quality of the eye shadows- very pigmented, smooth, and easy to blend
  • The variety of colors and finishes
  • The sleek metal case holds up well for travel
  • Has a big mirror so you can apply makeup on the go
  • Very well made and well thought out palette

What I hate:

  • There are too many cool colors that are difficult for more mature skin to pull off (greys and cool colors can emphasize bags under the eyes and make the eyes look tired)
  • Some of the shades can be a bit dry and flaky during application and shadow powder does spread all over the eye if an eye primer is not used
  • Very expensive

Overall, the quality is amazing and the packaging is great- I really don’t have many complaints at all!  I realize that the price for this is steep, but I truly feel it’s a great investment for a palette that you will use everyday.

End verdict:

This palette is BOMB ASS and it makes me excited to do my make up every single day. And yes, now I desperately want the Naked 3 palette as well. Make up like this totally reignites my passion for makeup. So get your hands on this baby as soon as you can and get creative!

Until Next Time
